SplashID Safe 8.x

• Overview: SplashID Safe 8.x is a password manager designed to securely store login credentials, personal data, and confidential information in an encrypted database.

  • Originally launched as “SplashID” in the early 2000s.

  • Renamed SplashID Safe in April 2011.

SplashID Pro 9.x

• Overview: SplashID 9 Pro, launched in April 2023, is a next-generation password manager product after our popular version 8.4.x. 

• Key improvements over 8.x:

  • Enhanced sync reliability and faster performance.

  • Expanded mobile features and tighter cross-platform integration.

• Naming note: While “Pro” in 8.x refers to a paid license, in 9.x it is the full product name (SplashID Pro 9).

What does a Pro license mean?

• For all our SplashID products, Pro is a paid upgrade that unlocks advanced features such as unlimited record storage and premium sync options.

• For 9.x apps, the word Pro is built into the product name (SplashID Pro 9), to signify the enhanced features that can serve all customers.

Billing and Subscriptions

• All recurring billing is handled via Recurly.

• Customers may receive emails from both SplashData and Recurly - these are legitimate communications and should not be ignored.

• Support may send you a secure link to update your payment details, always beginning with:
  https://splashdata.recurly.com/account/billing_info

• Updating your payment details is needed if your current credit/debit card has expired or become invalid, or if you have changed your SplashID account email ID.

Best practices for updating billing info

• Perform updates at home on a trusted Windows, macOS, Linux, or Chromebook computer.

• Avoid public WiFi networks and mobile browsers.

• Temporarily disable ad-blockers if the billing page doesn’t load correctly.

• Ignore the “Create Account” and “Log In” buttons in top right  — just use the billing form fields below.

• Always enter your new card information fresh; do not try to edit the old card’s fields.
