This guide for the VLP Admin user explains the step-by-step process for migrating a Volume License Program (VLP) account and users from SplashID Safe to SplashID Pro 9. It includes purchasing a VLP license in SplashID Pro 9, installing the app, setting up accounts, onboarding users, and importing data.
Go to SplashID Pro 9 subscription page.
In the email field, enter your new domain email address ending with @your-domain.xyz. This will be the admin email for the VLP program.
In the Plan dropdown, select Volume License Program.
Choose the license pack you need, e.g., the 50 users pack.
Fill in the remaining details.
If you have not already done so, install SplashID Pro 9 on your device (preferably on a laptop or desktop).
Visit the download page in a browser on the device where you are installing SplashID Pro 9. You will be taken to the application store on your device for installing SplashID Pro 9.
If the app is not displayed, search for SplashID Pro 9 directly in the app store.
Install the app as you would any other app from the application store.
Sign up for a SplashID Pro 9 account using the same admin email you used when purchasing the license.
Complete the account setup.
If you plan to share records between users, select Cloud Sync during setup.
Once your admin account is active, check your license status in the Settings > Subscriptions area. Your users can now be onboarded.
Each user should sign up for a new SplashID Pro 9 account using their @your-domain.xyz email address.
After completing account setup, they will automatically receive a Pro license.
If a user already has a SplashID Pro 9 account, you can add them manually to the licensing list inside the app.
Users have to individually transfer their records from the older SplashID Safe app to SplashID Pro 9.
Data migration will depend on the sync method of the user. Refer to the data migration from SplashID 8 section in the migration article for more details.
It is recommended to use the desktop app for this step, as it is easier to save and access exported files.
Cloud sync users
Data will migrate over to SplashID Pro 9 during the account setup process.
The time taken to complete the initial setup will also depend on the amount of data the user has in SplashID Safe. Let the initial account setup complete before you start using the app.
WiFi sync and No sync users
Export records from the SplashID Safe app as SVID files.
Import those files into the new SplashID Pro 9 account from Settings -> Import & Export.
