How to Migrate Your SplashID 8 Account to SplashID Pro 9?

Migrate Your SplashID 8 Account to SplashID Pro 9

SplashID Safe is also referred to as SplashID 8. This guide explains how to migrate your SplashID 8 account to SplashID Pro 9.

The applications for SplashID Pro 9 are separate from SplashID 8, but both can be installed and used on the same device. Migration does not change or remove your SplashID 8 data, and you may continue using it as long as your license is valid. However, data does not sync between SplashID 8 and SplashID Pro 9.

Requirements for Migration

To migrate from SplashID 8 to SplashID Pro 9, you must:

  • Be an existing SplashID 8 user.

  • Use the same email address for your SplashID 8 and SplashID Pro 9 accounts.

  • Have signed up for and completed the setup of a SplashID Pro 9 account.

  • Hold a Pro license in SplashID 8.

  • Use the same sync method (Cloud Sync or WiFi/No Sync) in both accounts.

Data Migration

Cloud Sync Accounts

  • Data will automatically migrate during the process.

  • For large accounts, initial sync may take longer.

  • After migration, log in on other devices and allow cloud sync to complete.

  • If data appears out of sync, manually initiate sync from the device you migrated first, then sync on other devices. Multiple manual syncs may be needed.

WiFi and No Sync Accounts

  • Export all records from SplashID 8 to an SVID file on your main device.

  • Import the SVID file into SplashID Pro 9 via Settings > Import & Export.

Post-Migration Use

Your SplashID 8 account will remain independent and functional until the license expires or SplashID 8 support ends. However, no data sync occurs between SplashID 8 and SplashID Pro 9.

We recommend transitioning fully to SplashID Pro 9 as soon as possible.
