SplashID Pro 9 is the next-generation upgrade to SplashID Safe (also known as SplashID 8). It offers modern security, built-in record sharing, unlimited fields, multiple notes, OTP generation, record archiving, and a recycle bin, all built on stronger and more secure cloud technologies.
Migrating your account means transferring your license and (in some cases) your data from SplashID Safe to SplashID Pro 9. You can continue using SplashID Safe after migration until the service is phased out, but data will not sync between the two products.
You can migrate if you are an existing SplashID Safe user with:
The same account email in SplashID Safe and SplashID Pro 9.
A Pro license (lifetime or subscription purchased directly from SplashID).
Cloud Sync, WiFi Sync, or No Sync setup in SplashID Safe.
Cloud Sync users: Your account, license, and data (records, categories, types, attachments, and icons).
WiFi Sync or No Sync users: Your account and license migrate, but data must be exported from SplashID Safe and imported into SplashID Pro 9 via an SVID file.
Licenses: Lifetime and directly purchased annual/monthly subscriptions transfer automatically. App Store, Play Store, and VLP licenses do not transfer due to store restrictions.
Download and install a SplashID Pro 9 app (desktop recommended).
Sign up with the same email as your SplashID Safe account.
Complete onboarding and sign in.
Select Migrate from SplashID 8 in the app.
Enter your SplashID Safe master password and confirm.
Review the migration summary and complete the process.
Your SplashID Safe account remains usable but independent of SplashID Pro 9.
Data will not sync between SplashID Safe and Pro 9.
Lifetime license holders can transfer free until September 30, 2025. After that, a nominal fee applies.
App Store and Play Store subscriptions must be canceled manually to avoid being billed for SplashID Safe after migration.
We recommend moving fully to SplashID Pro 9 once your data and license are transferred, as SplashID Safe will be discontinued in the future.
