SplashID Safe 8.4.x - force a sync from Mac Desktop to Web

If your SplashID Safe 8.4.x Mac Desktop app has the latest and correct data, and you need it to sync to the 8.4.0 Web app (Cloud Sync), follow the steps below to force a sync.

Steps to Force Sync from Mac Desktop to Web App

  1. Log in to the latest version of SplashID Safe 8.4.x Mac Desktop (latest version as of August 2025 is 8.4.5).

  2. In the left-hand side menu, click Settings.

  3. Click Sync Settings.

  4. Change the sync option to No Sync.

  5. Return to the main view by clicking SplashID Safe in the left-hand side menu.

  6. Go back into Settings > Sync Settings again.

  7. Change the sync option back to Cloud Sync.

  8. Click SplashID Safe again, then wait for the Cloud Sync to finish. Your data should now upload to the 8.4.0 Web app.

  9. Open the Web app at https://splashid.com/login.php and log in with the same SplashID account email address (all lowercase) you used on the Mac Desktop app.

    • Use a modern desktop browser such as Chrome, Safari (Mac), Firefox, Edge, Opera, or Brave. Do not use mobile browsers for Web app access.

  10. If you use multiple SplashID Safe apps, you may need to:

    • Log out and log back in on other 8.4.x PC/Mac desktop apps.

    • Delete and reinstall any 8.4.x mobile apps from the App Store or Play Store, then log in again.
