Ideally, you should regularly review your SplashID records, change old or weak passwords, and avoid using the same password across multiple sites. While this can be overwhelming, the Security Dashboard in SplashID Safe 8 makes the process much easier.

What the Dashboard Does

The Security Dashboard continuously analyzes your SplashID records and highlights potential vulnerabilities:

  • Old passwords that may no longer be safe.

  • Weak passwords that are easy to crack.

  • Repeated passwords used across multiple accounts.

With just a few clicks, you can identify and fix these issues.

Dashboard Features

  • Database Growth Graph: Displays how your SplashID database has grown over time.

  • Database Summary: Shows the total number of categories, types, and records in your database.

  • Password Analysis: Breaks down how many of your passwords are repeated, weak, or old.

  • Progress Indicator: Highlights the percentage of your database with password weaknesses in red.

  • View and Fix Button: Opens a list of records with vulnerable passwords so you can address them directly.

How to Use It?

  1. Open the Security Dashboard in SplashID Safe 8.

  2. Review the summary and password analysis results.

  3. Tap View and Fix to see a list of weak records.

  4. For each weak record:

    • Use SplashID to generate a stronger password.

    • Log in to the corresponding website or service.

    • Update your password with the new stronger version.

By working through these records one at a time, you can significantly improve your password security and protect your digital life.
