SplashID Safe 8.4.x Android app Fingerprint unlock/login

Requirements: SplashID Safe Android mobile app version 8.1.2 or newer (Release date: 09/2016)

1. Works on Android mobile devices (phones or tablets) with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or above.
2. Your Android mobile device should have fingerprint hardware capability.
3. You should have at least one fingerprint enrolled on your mobile device. Please consult your phone documentation to enroll fingerprints.
4. To enable fingerprint unlocking in SplashID Safe Android app, please go to menus -> Settings -> Security Settings screen, then tap or drag the Fingerprint toggle button to ON.

Please note fingerprint unlocking in SplashID Safe Android app is supported on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (or higher/newer such as Android OS 7.0 Nougat, 8.0/8.1 Oreo, 9.0 Pie or newer) that make use of Google's Android technology for fingerprint recognition. Some mobile device manufacturers, notably Samsung, had implemented their own technology for fingerprint recognition much before it was available natively in Android OS. Fingerprint recognition on these devices does not rely on Android's fingerprint technology even after an upgrade to Android Marshmallow or later.
Due to this until these devices get updated to use Android's core fingerprint technology, SplashID's fingerprint unlocking won't work on them. Some affected Samsung Android phone models include - Galaxy S5, Note 4, Note Edge.
