What are the current versions of SplashID and what are the system requirements?

Below is the latest version information for each SplashID Safe platform, along with system requirements and release dates. This list was last updated in December 2025.

SplashID Pro 9 Versions

  • Windows: 9.4.2 (Windows 10 or Windows 11 with Microsoft Store, released December 12th 2025)

  • Mac OS: 9.4.2 (macOS Catalina 10.15 or later, released December 12th 2025)

  • iOS/iPadOS: 9.4.2 (iOS 13.0 or later, iPadOS 13.0 or later, released December 12th 2025)

  • Android: 9.4.2 (Android OS 7.0 or later, released December 12th 2025)

  • Web App: 9.4.2 (PC/Mac/Linux/Chromebook, released December 12th 2025 – desktop web browser recommended)

Initial release of SplashID 9.0 apps was on April 27th 2023.

SplashID Safe 8.4.x Versions

  • Windows: 8.4.2 (Windows 7 or later, released December 9th 2025)

  • Mac OS: 8.4.5 (64-bit app, macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later, released January 27th 2025)

  • iOS/iPadOS: 8.4.4 Build 2 (iOS 12.0 or later, iPadOS 12.0 or later, released February 17th 2025)

  • Android: 8.4.4 Build 1033 (32-bit + 64-bit app, Android 6.0 or later, released December 9th 2025)

  • BlackBerry OS 10: 8.0.6 (released November 28th 2015)

  • Windows Phone: 7.2.4 (Windows Phone OS 8.1 or higher, released December 23rd 2015)

  • Web App: 8.4.0 (PC/Mac/Linux/Chromebook, released November 22nd 2023 – desktop browser recommended)

Initial release of SplashID 8.0 apps was November 2014 for mobile and February 2015 for desktop apps.

Additional Notes for 8.x Versions

  • SplashID Safe Windows PC Desktop app requires MS Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable 32-bit/x86. Download it HERE.

  • Latest versions by OS:

    • Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1: 8.3.7

    • Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks through macOS 10.13 High Sierra: 8.3.6

    • Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion: 8.3.1

    • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion: 7.2.2 ([Download Link])

    • Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard: 7.2.1 ([Download Link])

    • Latest 32-bit Mac Desktop app: 8.1.0.948

  • SplashID Safe PC Desktop version 7.x is not supported on Windows XP.

  • The latest version working on Windows XP is 6.2, but this and other 6.2 apps reached end of life in December 2020.

Older iOS Compatibility

  • iOS 11.x: SplashID Safe iOS 8.4.2

  • iOS 9.x / 10.x: SplashID Safe iOS 8.3.10

  • iOS 8.x: SplashID Safe iOS 8.2.2

  • iOS 7.0 – 7.1.2: SplashID Safe iOS 8.1.2
