(Web app) SplashID Safe 8.4.0 Web app showing blank/white view after login

PROBLEM: I have 2-factor enabled and use Cloud Sync for 8.4.x apps. When I login to 8.4.0 Web app on my PC, Mac, Linux or Chromebook computer, I see only a white/blank screen and cannot use 8.4.0 Web app. Why is this and how to fix it, please?

ANWER: This is a known issue with our 8.4.0 Web app as of Sept 2026, when using Cloud Sync with 2-factor enabled.
8.4.x mobile & Desktop apps are unaffected. Customers not using 2-factor are also unaffected. Our developers are actively investigating the root cause to release a permanent fix in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, please follow these steps to access your account on your desktop web browser -->
1. Go to the SplashID 8.4.0 web app: https://www.splashid.com/login
2. Log in with your credentials and enter your 2FA code.
3. On the 2FA screen, under "Trust this browser for", select any duration (e.g. 1 day, 1 week/etc) other than "Now".
4. When the blank/white screen appears after submitting, do not close the browser tab or window.
5. In the address bar of that same tab, navigate directly to: https://www.splashid.com/logout
6. You will be redirected back to the login screen. Log in once more in that same window.

After completing these steps, you should be able to access your records in 8.4.0 Web app normally for the duration you selected on the 2FA screen.

Also, please note our Web app is only meant to be used on computers you can't or should not use the Desktop apps on, such as public computers, another person's computer, shared computers, work computers with restrictions on installed software, non-PC/Mac machines such as Linux/Chromebook machines/etc. In all other cases, you should use our native PC or Mac SplashID Desktop  apps, as they are much better/easier to use/more powerful & faster than Web app.

If possible, download, install & use 8.4.x PC/Mac Desktop app instead -->
