Displaying WiFi Network Name (SSID) in apps

Displaying WiFi Network Name (SSID) in apps

The WiFi Network SSID is the name of the WiFi service broadcasting from your router. This is independent of the 'WiFi Sync' functionality.

If your device is successfully connected to a WiFi network, the app will display Connected to WiFi. This connection allows the device to perform WiFi Sync with other devices for the same user on the same network, even if the SSID name isn't displayed.

If you see Connected to WiFi instead of the actual network name, the app may be missing the necessary permissions to fetch the name.

Granting Permissions to Display WiFi Network Name

To allow the SplashID Pro 9 app to display the WiFi Network name (SSID), follow the steps below for your specific operating system. Granting these permissions enables the app to access local network information.

  2. Navigate to the Apps menu (or similar, like "Applications" or "App Management").
  3. Find and select the SplashID Pro 9 app.
